Sleek, modern, innovative, game-changing, that’s how customers describe Tesla supercars — and HDI railing systems.

Over the past decade, the popularity of the entire Tesla line has exploded. As a result, more Tesla cars are built every year. To support demands, Tesla parts suppliers are needed to accelerate the production of this popular line of electric cars. In fact, supplying Tesla has become something of manufacturing gold rush in Newark California.

One such Newark California Tesla parts supplier planned a brand new building located less than five miles from Tesla’s Fremont factory.  Planning to provide the center consoles for Tesla cars, this supplier depended on their new facility.

Stylistically, the supplier needed their new building to project a sleek modern aesthetic to match the brand of the electric supercar they supply. Practically, the building needed to meet code and be completed on time.

The Tesla supplier partnered with California general contractor Millie and Severson to build their brand-new facility. Mille and Severson created a monumental staircase in the lobby and a highly-trafficked staircase connecting the office space and the warehouse.

Both important staircases required a sturdy yet stylish railing system. The client and Millie and Severson worked with HDI to select the modern inox railing system matched with stainless steel infill rods.

HDI provided a rendered image of what the railing would like like at the beginning of the project for the benefit of everyone involved.

Since a tight deadline drove the project, HDI engineers performed the installation on site.

The presence of HDI installers on the ground circumvented a potentially major roadblock. The contractor realized they needed to add an additional wall — a wall that rendered the railing system, and the entire construction, in violation of building codes.

HDI engineers were able to quickly modify the railing system to remain code compliant — while providing maximum style and strength with the inox railing system. HDI completed the entire installation in under a week, allowing the project to remain on schedule.

The stylish industrial design of the inox railing system is a perfect match for this facility.

HDI worked hands-on alongside the contractor to deliver a product that succeeded in every way: sturdy, on-time, and with a style to represent the brand.
