Architectural Vision & Design Goals
HDI’s Konic™ railing system, with 5’ and 6’ tall 13/16″ SGP interlayer laminated tempered glass infill, acted as a windscreen offering unobstructed views, and elegant simplicity. Furthermore, we installed core mounted posts on the 5th floor pool deck and grand staircase offering the necessary structural integrity for this design application.
Unique Features
Rooftop Pool: The West Hollywood Park Pool features HDI’s Konic™ railing system with custom 5′ tall structural glass for added wind protection and safety.
Grand Exterior Staircase: Inspired by Rome’s iconic Spanish Steps, the top of the staircase features HDI’s Konic™ railings, providing unobstructed views and a sleek design.
Integrated Sustainability: Achieved LEED Gold certification with solar panels, greywater recycling, passive ventilation, and daylighting. For instance, our stainless steel railing components (AISI 304 or 316) include 45%-65% recycled content, contributing to LEED credits. In fact, HDI’s glass infill also uses approximately 20% recycled materials, significantly lowering environmental impact.
