Mennonite Home Communities sought to elevate their senior living environment at Woodcrest Villa by developing Falcon Pointe, a sophisticated new addition of 35 apartments designed for both comfort and aesthetic appeal. RLPS Architects envisioned railings that would seamlessly integrate into the architectural context, complementing the villa’s elegant exterior and refined interiors. The project called for a railing system that provided clear visibility, exceptional safety, and minimal maintenance without compromising on design integrity.

HDI Railings delivered a tailor-made railing solution with their Inox™ system, fabricated using high-quality type 304 stainless steel with a custom powder-coated Dark Bronze finish. This finish was selected to match the existing architectural palette, ensuring visual consistency throughout the property. Specifically chosen for their clean lines, durability, and versatility, the railings were surface wood lag-mounted on interior second-floor balconies, while core mounting was utilized for the exterior balconies and the fourth-floor terrace areas, ensuring maximum stability and safety.
Notably, custom-engineered curved tempered-laminated glass infill panels were incorporated into select balcony areas, providing design flexibility and contributing significantly to the elegant aesthetic and unobstructed views. These curved infill panels, along with the straight infill panels, utilized a robust laminated SGP interlayer, enhancing both safety and durability for exterior exposure.
Throughout the project, HDI Railings coordinated closely with RLPS Architects and Warfel Construction, actively participating from initial consultations and detailed shop drawings to precise site measurements and installation support. This collaborative approach ensured adherence to the architectural vision and facilitated smooth project execution within the required timelines.

Completed in alignment with the rigorous specifications and schedules, Falcon Pointe now features railings that elevate both the safety and sophistication of the living environment.
