Recognized as a nationally ranked hub of undergraduate and graduate studies, Auburn University’s Lowder Hall serves as a center for continuing business education. So when it, as one of the south’s largest universities, needed a railing system to complement the state of the art laboratories, the answer was clear. HDI’s inox railing system satisfied Auburn University’s desire to create a distinctive open post railing design thereby fulfilling Lowder Hall’s vision of a bright, modern, and open stairwell in their newest renovation project.

Elegance meets strength with the inox pre-engineered railing system installed along the rising stairwells and multiple balconies. Constructed of high grade 304 stainless steel, with a 240-grain finish, the inox system is comprised of twin stainless steel posts which are weld mounted to the stairway’s stringer ensuring an exact, precise and secure fitting.

The inox railing system provides an unobtrusive look, with high-quality laminated glass infill panels, promoting bright and open views from all levels of the stairway. Laminated 9/16” thick PVB glass was chosen as the infill material for the Lowder Hall project. The PVB resin interlayer utilized within the laminated glass provides optical clarity and strength contributing to a superior level of safety.
