Optik™ Shoe

The Optik Shoe system is designed to offer users an unobtrusive look by giving the appearance of a floating glass system.

A stainless steel covered channel supports glass panels that are secured in place using a patented disc lock system, providing a clean uninterrupted look.

Materials

High quality stainless steel either AISI 304 or 316 depending on environmental conditions. Finishes are 240 grain. Powder-coated finishes are available for the handrail, cap rail, and cladding, offering a broad range of color options to complement the design.

Depending on design intent and applicable engineering and code requirements, a structural cap rail may be required at the top of the glass.

Infill materials are available as tempered/laminated glass in either 9/16” or 13/16” with SGP interlayer. A variety of infill options are also available, including colored glass interlayers as well as frosted, opaque, or patterned glass for added visual flexibility.

Standard attachment methods are surface, side mounting.

Installation is available as required.
